Act I · Our Story
A journey that began in faith.
From a single family answering God's call to a fellowship gathering across cities — every milestone has been carried by prayer.
- 1974
A calling begins
Shekinah Gospel Prayer Fellowship was founded by Late Pastor Robert Sandhy — a step of faith that started a journey of proclaiming the Gospel across South India.
- 1984
A fellowship registered
The ministry was officially registered under the Society's Act, 1960 at Nellore, and the first congregation gathered in Vijinapura, Bengaluru.
- Growing
New branches, new families
God opened doors in Dinnur, S.K Garden and Devarajeevanahalli. The work grew as elder pastors carried the message into Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

A living fellowship
Under Pastor Stephen J Sandhy, the congregation continues to gather at Old UCO Bank Road, Vijinapura, Bengaluru — a family devoted to prayer, the Word and one another.
When two or three agree in one accord and pray, the omniscient God is already there to answer.

Anchored in truth, alive in the Spirit.
These are the convictions that shape how we worship, how we welcome, and how we walk together.
God is Triune
One God in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — perfect in unity and distinct in ministry.
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
Fully God and fully man, crucified and risen — through Him all who believe receive eternal life.
Salvation by Grace through Faith
A free gift of God, received by trusting Jesus Christ — not earned by works, but by grace alone.
The Holy Spirit Empowers Believers
The Spirit guides, teaches and equips God's people with gifts to serve and grow in Christlikeness.
The Church is the Body of Christ
Called to love one another, serve the world and carry the good news to every neighborhood.
Jesus Will Return
He will come again in glory — and God's Kingdom will be revealed in fullness, without pain or death.

To know Him — and to make Him known.
Everything behind us prepares us for what's ahead: a community shaped by prayer, sent out in love.

Our Pastor
Pastor Stephen J Sandhy
With a heart for prayer, faithful teaching of God's Word and pastoral care, Pastor Stephen shepherds the congregation at Shekinah Gospel Prayer Fellowship in Bengaluru — carrying forward a legacy of faith into a new generation.
His desire is to see every person encounter the presence of God, grow in discipleship, and discover the joy of serving Christ in community.
